The Local Finance Manager coordinates and oversees financial accounting operations for the local entity in compliance with both local and global GAAP and policies, ensuring adherence to agreed-upon timelines and procedures:
- Execute Actual Financial Accounting per local and global GAAP.
Implement Liquidity Management practices for the local entity.
Establish and manage Management Accounting and Reporting in line with local and global GAAP and policies, while meeting designated deadlines.
Maintain and update master data for cost centers and projects, including standard cost calculations in various currencies.
Ensure adequate qualification and training for local Finance staff.
Provide the Managing Director with the required financial reports and advice.
Ensure accurate and timely submission of tax statements to local authorities.
Implement Global Function's Accounting guidelines (e.g., common chart of accounts, global booking instructions, naming conventions).
Contribute to projects directed by the Global Organization (e.g., SSC projects).
Represent the Local Entity within the Finance Leadership Team.
Act as the main point of contact for External Auditors, Tax Auditors, local banks, and other financial institutions.
Spearhead initiatives to enhance efficiency within the local Finance Department.
Support Local Talent Development for Finance Professionals.
Define IT system requirements for the selection of an appropriate Local Accounting System if Abacus lacks necessary functionalities.
At least Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in Finance, Accounting, Controlling or related field.
3 years + years of experience in leading Finance/Controlling team, preferred in international environment.
Strong accounting and controlling knowledge, experience with internal auditing is a plus.
Team player mindset with flexible, resilient, and independent way of working.
Fluent written and spoken level in German and English.
MS-Office Professional User (Excel) is a must.
Knowledge in Abacus / Qlik.
