Performance Measurement

Performance measurement is a sub-discipline of management and governance. The purpose of performance measurement is to provide support for strategic management by putting into operation corporate and departmental objectives and strategies, which are usually not specific and are formulated in words. Performance measurement supplies management with the relevant information for planning, guidance and control. It is an essential success factor in the establishment of a closed feedback loop for management with a focus on measuring the achievement of objectives.
